How to: Send a Mailchimp Email to Multiple Groups in Your Master List


Q: I’d like to send a blanket 50% off offer to a few groups in my master list. Can I do this as part of one campaign?

A: Sure you can! To send your offer to multiple groups while in the campaign builder, just follow these steps that I’m sharing in this blog.

How to Send a Mailchimp Email to Multiple Groups in Your Master List

Step 1:

Go to the Campaigns page.

Step 2:

Click Create > Email

Step 3:

On the Regular tab, enter a campaign name and click Begin.

Step 4:

In the “To” section of the Campaign Builder, click the “Add Recipients” button.

Step 5:

In the “List” drop-down menu, choose the list you want to work with.

Step 6:

In the “Segment or Tag” drop-down, choose “Group or new segment”.

Step 7:

Decide if contacts need to match any or all of your criteria

Step 8:

Choose a group

Step 9:

In the second drop-down menu, choose if your email needs to be sent to subscribers who are in one of, all of, or none of the group names

Step 10:

Click the group name you want to send to

Step 11:

Click and hold CTRL (or Command on a Mac) to select more than one group name

Step 12:

Click “Update Recipient Count” to see how many subscribers are included

Step 13:

Click “Save.”

You’re now all set! Subscribers across multiple groups who meet the conditions you set will get your campaign with ease.
